WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED

we will ask for an e-mail address. If you submit stories, artwork, comments or anything else to
us which is posted on our site, you will be identified on our site only by first name, city, and state.
If you send us an email with a question or comment, or enter one of our contests, we will
write back using your e-mail address, but we will not keep the address or use it again.
If you send an electronic postcard or e-mail message, we will ask for your first name and
e-mail address as well as the e-mail address of the person who will receive the postcard.
We will only use the information to send the postcard or message and we will delete the information when
the postcard or message is sent. No one will be excluded from our site for not giving us personal
information. If we know a visitor is under the age of thirteen, we will collect a parent's permission
(by email,postal mail, fax, or phone) before we mail and prizes, or collect or share personal information
with anyone else. When we do ask for personal information (like an e-mail address), we will only keep it until that
particular activity is complete. We will not share this information with a third party.
We collect additional types of information (e.g., credit card and billing information) when individuals
purchase products and offerings at our site.
Visitors who order merchandise or other materials at Chip Hertz.com will be reqired to provide their full name
and mailing addresses, e-mail address, telephone number and a credit card number. If the order is being shipped
to a third party we will also need the recipient's name and mailing address.
When a child under thirteen participates in an ongoing activity that requires the collection, retention, and use of
personal information, we will also ask for a parent's e-mail address so that we can notify the parent that we have
received personal information from their child. We do not knowingly collect names and e-mail addresses from
children under thirteen for these types of acticities without notifying the parent via e-mail and giving the parent the
option to remove their child's e-mail address from the appropriate database. For specific one-time requests we
receive from visitors, e-mail addresses are collected and used by us in connection with the specific one-time
request. For example, for sweepstakes and contests, e-mail addresses are collected for the purpose of entering
the online sweepstakes or contest on a one-time basis and are used only to notify winners of the sweepstakes
or contest by e-mail. Winners will be required to return a completed prize acceptance form contained in the
facsimile or e-mail within a designated time period (along with the signature of a parent or legal guardian for
all minors).
